Principle For The Week: Mapping out plans to direct our desires

A map?

A compass?

A tour guide?

A reference material?

What similarities do the aforementioned have?

One word comes to mind: ‘Direction’

I intend to make this as brief as possible, other words can come to mind aside from direction, guidance is one of such words.

You wake up from bed every morning and when someone asks you, ‘what are your plans for today?’.

You simply reply, ‘I don’t know, I’ll simply work with what I get.’

As much as we can’t predict what life presents us with, we have the power to plan and map out our visions.

What do you want?

What is your plan?

How would you achieve it?

What would help you in achieving it?

What are the things you need in achieving your goals?

What are the things you need to eliminate to achieve these goals?

Who are the people that would be of positive impact in helping you achieve this?

Who are the people you need to stay away from?

I’m not here to advice you per se, I’m simply dropping the questions which you need to answer and then re-evaluate your lifestyle and mindset.

Do you ignore the compass or map you already have?

Do you disregard the function of that guide because you finally feel it does not count?

I really don’t know what your reasons might be, but changing yor mindset and mapping out strategies to achieving your desired result is key to happiness.

When you achieve these goals, happiness comes without knocking.

Life is about choices.
